A number of years ago the Eagles Nest in Wawa was cleared out - many things were donated to the library in Wawa and their historical society, but much of it ended up for sale at the church. By the time I found out about it, most of the items were gone but I did manage to pick up this beautiful but incomplete English 1940s tea set and a copious amount of spoons. The tea set isn’t in perfect condition but it’s still a neat piece of local history. And I love to boast that nearly all of my spoons were owned by one of Canada’s greatest industrialists.
