Hey there music fans. Today, I would like to introduce you to a local band named T.R.I.P. This acoustical group is made up of Jack Alisad (stage name Jack Hyde), Joel Syrette, Beej Syrette, and Dan Beaupre. Joel, Beej, Dan, and Rick Datson also form the band Double Down. A third band named Jackln Hyde, made up of Joel, Beej, Dan and Aaron Dunn, is a separate music project and you can check out this band on instagram @jacklnhyde. I recently met them between sets at Beck's, where they were performing the Saturday afternoon matinee at Beck's. Here is what they had to say: How did your band meet/come together? So Dan, Beej, and Joel and Rick Datson form Double Down. We met Jack through a mutual professional learning engagement and discovered that Jack wasn't just a singer, but the singer. When not playing with Double Down, T.R.I.P, does some acoustic gigs. With Jack Hyde and the members of T.R.I.P, they also form the band JacklnHyde. Can you describe your music? Eclectic, passionate, and a little edgy. We are really good friends, so we are able to have an honest conversation and let loose. We come from different musical backgrounds and we are putting it together really well, plus we don't stick to one genre. What sets your band apart from others? It's that core element of knowing each other for a long time. No one is in it for anything else other than the love of music. Jack sets apart Jackln Hyde from Double Down or T.R.I.P. This is a band that is making our local music scene unique and one of a kind. I have heard a number of acoustical groups, but T.R.I.P knocks it out of the park.
