Good morning music fans. Sorry about the long absence, but I had a bout with a cold and kicked its butt. I am feeling better with some lingering nasal congestion. Music News: This week the music world lost another music icon. Sly Stone, founding member of funk band Sly and the Family Stone died at the age of 82, after battling a longtime illness. He played a critical role in the development of funk with his pioneering fusion of soul, rock, psychedelia, and gospel in the 1960s and 1970s. Rod Stewart, the 80 year old rocker and recent winner at this year's Grammy awards, with a Lifetime Achievement Award, has cancelled some U.S tour dates due to recovering from the flu. He has one concert in Canada on July 22 at Budweiser Stage in Toronto. No word if this date will be cancelled or rescheduled. BTS Reunion: Two more members of the K-pop group BTS, Jungkook and Jimin, have been discharged from the Korean military, following RM and V, with only Suga remaining to complete his service. This marks a step closer to the group's official reunion after their break to focus on solo projects and military service.
