Well, when I came on here, I said I wanted to learn as I was an amatuer handyman of sorts. That may not be the right description, but I am an amatuer! But I like trying to do things around the house. I commented previously on this project (remove old carpet and install solid hardwood), but just finished room 4 of 4, the living room (took 3 days). Took me 4 weekends, 7 days total, spread over a couple months to do all 4 rooms. I will never do it again, I say now at least, as it was hard on my 59 year old chubby body. However, must say, very satifying in the end that I was able to complete the task, took no short cuts, very little waste, and had some angle cuts for one section that leads to hallway, which highlight the amatuer in me, but will be covered by the transition once I tile the hallway (next project).
