Some shots from a rebuild of a Sturmey-Archer 3 Speed Hub I did last year. This one is off of a 1970s Raleigh Superbe but they were very popular hubs found on a lot of different bikes though the years
The internals of these hubs and are a testament to how great internal geared hubs are. I've pulled quite a few apart and no matter the condition of the bike, they all look new once cleaned up and lubricated.
There are no derailleur/cassette set ups that will out live a vintage Sturmey-Archer.
